Looking for Local Artists
We live in a very creative community, so in 2024 the Ketchikan Visitors Bureau decided to highlight that to visitors and use local art for the cover of the Ketchikan, Alaska Official Travel Guide. What better way than to do a call to artists? The Travel Guide is printed 65,000 times, distributed across the US and Canada, displayed virtually on visitktn.com, and shared with visitors from all over the world who are experiencing Ketchikan.

This year's theme is "Take Flight". Your interpretation may be literal, symbolic, or completely unexpected. We encourage artists to explore the theme through their own style, perspective, and connection to Ketchikan.

- Must be a resident of the Ketchikan Gateway Borough
- Artwork must be the artist’s original creative work. Entries created primarily using generative artificial intelligence (AI) are not eligible.
- Each artist may submit up to two entries.
- Previous winning artists are not eligible to have their artwork selected as the cover for four calendar years after their win, but the artwork may be used for other marketing purposes.
- Any use of any artwork by the KVB will be subject to the artists' written permission.
- All artists retain the copyright to their work.
