Getting Here by Air
Ketchikan is just 90 minutes by air from Seattle, with several daily flights in and out provided by Alaska Airlines. Scheduled daily jet service is also available to and from Anchorage, Juneau, Sitka, Petersburg and Wrangell.
Ketchikan International Airport is located on Gravina Island, just a short five-minute ferry ride from downtown. The airport ferry operates throughout the day, departing from the airport on the hour and half-hour and from the city to the airport at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour.
Adult passenger fare is $6 one-way, and a standard vehicle fare is $7 one-way. Cash and credit cards are accepted, and free baggage carts are available at the airport for your convenience. Many hotels and lodges offer shuttle service to and from the ferry terminal—be sure to check with your lodging provider in advance for details.

Alaska Airlines offers daily flights into Ketchikan, making it easy to begin your adventure in Southeast Alaska. Once you arrive, a variety of local air taxi services can whisk you off to neighboring communities, remote lodges, or on a breathtaking flightseeing tour over the Misty Fjords National Monument. Connections are available both at the airport and in town, and for those arriving by private aircraft, ground services and parking are available for your convenience.
